Project Server Video: Advanced Analysis on the Project Portfolio
This part of the EPM demo focuses on the advanced analysis that can be performed on the portfolio of projects. It follows on from selecting an optimised portfolio in part 3.
Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server 2007 allows some advanced analysis on the selected portfolio. This includes an efficiency frontier curve, to show the difference between the value of the selected portfolio and the maximum value possible, and highlight which constraints are causing this value difference. The business driver priorities can also be adjusted to see how effective the selected portfolio of projects would be if the priority score of any business drivers were to change.
The visual reporting capabilities of Project Portfolio Server give a graphical view of how the cost of projects aligns to the priorities of the business drivers.
